Brewlands, holiday home to both American Presidents Bush, is an ancient monastic estate in Glenisla, Perthshire, set in magnificent Highland scenery on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park, one and a half hours north of Edinburgh’s World Heritage sites.
We offer a collection of 5, 5 star luxury historic properties, of different sizes, for holiday rentals. They sleep from 2 – 16 people, each of them in their own unique setting and among the best of their kind. All have private hot tubs and spring water supplies. They are available self, partially or fully catered. Full concierge service.
There are lots of sporting and many other activities, adventures and fascinating sites, on and off the estate. We have great restaurants, artisan and gourmet shopping, many castles including the King’s castle at Balmoral and 30 golf courses within an hour including St Andrews. The estate’s central geographic position makes it the perfect base from which to explore the best that Scotland has to offer. Wellness, wildlife and sustainability are top priorities for us and we are carbon neutral. A significant proportion of the rent you pay goes into supporting our conservation projects.
Brewlands is a mostly organic working country estate. From the cultivated fields of the home farm, hills rise to 2,500 feet beyond the mixed woodlands and heather moorland. Brewlands has a huge variety of topography and habitat that make it home to an extraordinary range of wildlife including wild cats and the rare red squirrel. There is such a profusion of wildflowers and lichens that grow only in unpolluted places that part of the glen is a wildflower reserve.
